Happy Holidays and Happy New Year!

Dear Friends,

Another year is ending with a string of holidays, and we take this opportunity to thank you for your loyalty to our company and your interest in iLike.Boston, a digest about Boston and Massachusetts, which we have been publishing for the eighth year.

You will be celebrating holidays on different dates, and your winter holidays have already started according to some calendars or will start later and continue until mid-January according to others. Have you ever wondered why this is so? This diversity (which gives us a chance to maintain a festive mood for a long time on short and cold winter days) is an unintended but welcome result of astronomical errors, religious schisms, and curious accidental happenings in the distant past, which have since become traditions.

There are many religious beliefs and traditions, from Saturnalia in ancient Rome to Hanukkah and Christmas, but we all share one Sun and the same winter solstice, which this year fell on December 22. From this date on, every day is becoming longer, lighter, and warmer, and spring will soon appear on the horizon. We wish you joy and happiness during the short winter days and all coming days of the New Year alike. May the New Year 2022 bring you health and good fortune, may you be warmed by the love of your family and friends.

Once again, happy New Year!

Read congratulations in Russian.

P.S. And one more thing. The holiday season is a time of miracles. You, too, can work a miracle – all you need to do is make a small gift. There are foundations in Russia and Ukraine called Change One Life. They find families for children who, for one reason or another, were left without care.

For this kind of search, they need to produce a professional video about every child, and this costs money. Therefore, we ask you to make a small donation, within your capabilities, to the Change One Life Foundation. We have already helped some children find a family, and we really want to help other children who need it. You will immediately see the return on your charity and experience moral satisfaction: science has firmly proven that helping other people brings more joy than receiving material benefits.

Please make the most important gift for those who are waiting for it – this will be the gift of their lifetime. May their dreams, as well as yours, come true in the coming year 2022!

Sincerely yours,

The international team of cEventa: greetings from Boston, New York, St. Petersburg, Kyiv, Geneva, Zagreb, Wroclaw, and Burgas. Our company was founded in 1996, and since 2013, we have been supervising the informational project iLike.Boston under the auspices of our state administration.
