Built in 1834 this National Landmark Greek Revival mansion is the best example of the “brave houses and flowery gardens” described by Herman Melville in “Moby-Dick.” The period rooms and exhibits in the Museum chronicle the social, economic and political evolution of the city, through the families who lived and worked at the House. Open year-round Mon – Sat 10:00 am – 4:00 pm; Sunday noon – 4:00 pm.
